Books and Crafts for Teens!
The Main Library will be traveling to the Len Colla Recreation Center this winter to offer a special program just for teens! Join Youth Librarian, Julie Martinez, for a chance to take home some of the newest books for Young Adults and make a trendy craft project. This free program will be held on Thursday, February 2nd at approximately 4:15 p.m. at Len Colla.
Music for Lil’ Ones at Main!
Enhance your little one’s development and love of music through song, dance, and simple instruments at the Main Library on Friday, February 3rd at 10:30 a.m. Registration is not required.
Magazines and Newspapers Class at Vista Grande
This class will show you the hundreds of magazines and newspapers that are freely available to you through the library catalog, such as Consumer Reports. Class will be on Saturday, February 4th from 9:30-11:00 a.m.
Family Storytime at Vista Grande
Children of all ages are welcome to join a librarian for approximately a half hour of stories and a simple craft on Saturday, February 4th at 2 p.m.
Digital Storytime at Main
Please join Youth Librarian, Julie Martinez, for Digital Storytime on Monday, February 6th at 11 a.m. We are using the NOOKcolor™ to share picture books between a parent and their child(ren). This storytime will encourage a more collaborative and interactive reading experience and it will introduce a new and popular technology. Digital Storytime will still include print books as well as songs, finger plays, puppet shows, and flannel board stories. Registration is not required, but space is limited to 25 adults and their children.
