The City of Casa Grande will hold a regular meeting of the City Council at the above location, date and time. A public hearing is scheduled on the agenda for the purpose of presenting information, and to obtain any comments on proposed increases to wastewater and sanitation rates. The wastewater and sanitation operations are separate funds supported entirely by user fees. Rates must change to maintain a positive fund balance.   The Council will consider a proposal on July 2nd to change the wastewater residential fee from $23.74 to $24.75 and to increase the wastewater commercial base from $11.65 to $12.00; the wastewater commercial usage rate from $2.00 per thousand gallons of water used to $2.05 per thousand gallons of water used and the wastewater industrial rate from $1.82 per thousand gallons of water used to $1.85 per thousand gallons of water used.

TRUTH IN TAXATION HEARING
NOTIFICATION OF TAX INCREASE


IN COMPLIANCE WITH SECTION 42-17107, ARIZONA REVISED STATUTES, THE CITY OF CASA GRANDE IS NOTIFYING ITS PROPERTY TAXPAYERS OF THE INTENTION TO RAISE PRIMARY PROPERTY TAXES OVER LAST YEAR’S LEVEL. THE CITY OF CASA GRANDE IS PROPOSING AN INCREASE IN PRIMARY PROPERTY TAXES OF $0.0501 OR 5.57%.

THE PROPOSED TAX INCREASE WILL CAUSE THE CITY OF CASA GRANDE’S PRIMARY PROPERTY TAXES ON A $100,000 HOME TO INCREASE FROM $89.88 TO $94.89.

THIS PROPOSED INCREASE IS EXCLUSIVE OF INCREASED PRIMARY PROPERTY TAXES RECEIVED FROM NEW CONSTRUCTION. THE INCREASE IS ALSO EXCLUSIVE OF ANY CHANGES THAT MAY OCCUR FROM PROPERTY TAX LEVIES FOR VOTER APPROVED BONDED INDEBTEDNESS OR BUDGET AND TAX OVERRIDES.

The City of Casa Grande, Arts & Humanities Commission is seeking artists interested in designing and providing a budget estimate for construction and installation of a Railroad Art Project. The site is approximately 5-foot wide x 30-foot long located south of City Hall Fountain, 510 E. Florence Boulevard. The budget for this project is $3,000.
