In 2009 the City contracted ICMA for a survey and study of the Operations of the Casa Grande Police Department. The final report as prepared by Dr. James McCabe has been submitted to the City. The report makes numerous, specific recommendations and outlines steps that would help enhance the operation and services of the Police Department. Following meetings with City Management Analysts, Command Staff and Officer and Sergeant representatives, The Police Department prepared and has submitted an Action Plan on addressing all of the recommendations in the report and has identified time lines and needed resources for accomplishment.
