Golf Course FAQ Does the city operate a golf course? How many holes? Yes the City of Casa Grande operates Dave White Minicipal Golf Course located at 2121 N. Thornton Road, Casa Grande, AZ 85122 (520) 836-9216. Book Tee times online and more information is available online by clicking here. The course is an 18-hole par 72-championship course, with a rating of 69.2 and a slope of 120. The course is ideally located a few miles off of I-10 between Phoenix and Tucson. Golfing in Casa Grande is available year round. Is the course open to the public? What are the fees? Yes, the course is open to the public. The green fees vary by season, but are usually the lowest in the area. You can check the current fees by clicking here. Can I book a golf tournament at the course? Tournaments at Dave White Municipal Golf Course are allowed by contacting the Director of Golf, Bob Bauer at (520) 836-9216 or you can email Bob by clicking here.
Parks & Rec FAQ Can I reserve a Ramada at any of the parks? Local groups may reserve a city park by notifying the Parks and Recreation Department no less than seven days prior to date of use. There are restroom requirements for larger groups of people. Also, a variety sports equipment is available for use at a nominal fee, when you reserve a city park. For further information, please contact the Parks and Recreation Division. Is the swimming pool available for parties? Palm Island Family Aquatics Park is available on select Friday and Saturday evenings for private rental to groups, businesses or non-profit agencies. The private rental fee is $250 and this covers the cost of staff and admission for a two-hour period. For further information and reservations, please call Parks and Recreation Dept. 421-8677 or contact Parks and Recreation. Does the City offer swimming lessons? Yes the City offers swim lessons during the summer months. Yes, City of Casa Grande recreation facility use is available for city sponsored governmental, school, and non-profit organizations. Limited use may be available for private rentals (i.e., showers, receptions, reunions, funerals, etc.) and there are fees associated with all city building use. Reservations will be accepted no earlier than six (6) weeks prior to your requested date. Dorothy Powell Senior Adult Center FAQ Is the Dorothy Powell Senior Adult Center open to the public? Yes, it is open to the public Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Does the DPSA Center offer classes? Yes, many types of classes are offered at the Senior Center. Examples of the classes offered ar ceramics, lapidary and silversmithing, computer classes, dance, art and fitness to name a few. Please check the current brochure for a detailed list of all the classes offered. Does the DPSA Center serve meals? Yes, breakfast and lunch are served at DPSA Center. the cost for breakfast is $3.00 and $3.50 for take out. Lunch is available for $3.00. No take out is available for lunch. Who do I contact about Meals on Wheels? Contact the center directly for any questions regarding the Meals on Wheels program. The phone number is 421-8765. Who do I contact to volunteer at the DPSAC? Please contact Shayla Butler at (520) 421-8760 for volunteer opportunities or by email. Does the Center have computers for public use? Yes, free use of equipment is available, sign up required. Practice computer basics. Internet is available. Tutor is on-hand most days. Open hours will be Monday through Friday, times will vary depending upon computer class schedules. Is there a membership fee to use the Center? There is no fee for use of Dorothy Powell Senior Adult Center. There are fees associated with classes, meals and other activities, but general use of the center is free. |
